Since our inception in 1999 we have helped more than 3000 women and girls throughout BC make amazing and lasting life changes. Minerva creates these opportunities for women and girls in BC by:

Partnering with business, government, service organizations, public institutions and individuals
Offering programs and educational awards to help women reach their full potential

How do we do it? The positive impact we have created was made possible by the generous support of our partners and volunteers. Our goal is to build a sustainable endowment fund to ensure a steady stream of independent funding for initiatives that will continue to change lives and build communities throughout BC.

Minerva currently has a head office in Vancouver and a branch in Victoria to serve women and girls in regions and communities throughout BC.

Our Brand Story

It is said that both Neptune and Minerva competed for the rights to the City of Athens. It was determined that whoever devised the gift most useful to mortals would be granted the city as their own. Neptune created the horse and Minerva created the olive Minerva’s gift won the city. Minerva’s useful gift of the olive offered an ongoing source of food, work and a sustainable, healthy life for the community.

We have incorporated the olive leaf into our new brand identity as it is a symbol of our work – work that permanently changes lives and creates community.
