Please note that all Minerva Foundation awards will be granted to female residents of British Columbia who have demonstrated financial need and academic proficiency and are enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution in BC (unless otherwise stated in the award description).  Preference will be given to candidates who meet at least one of the following criteria:

Single mothers who are advancing their education
Mature women returning to the workforce after a long absence
Women in non-traditional fields of study
Immigrant and aboriginal women and women with disabilities

Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine

Description: This Minerva Foundation Award will be made available to a female resident of BC enrolled in a full time field of study at Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, on the basis of demonstrated financial need and the criteria outlined at the top of this page.

CanScribe Career Centre

Description: This Minerva Foundation Award will be made available to a female resident of BC on consideration of financial need and the criteria outlined at the top of this page. Applications will be accepted from candidates interested in taking the course at CanScribe but not already enrolled. The applicant will receive final approval from CanScribe

Thompson Career College
2 @ $1,000

Description: These awards are for applicants to the Online Medical Transcriptionist program at Thompson Career College.  The purpose of these awards is to assist single mothers in advancing their education; retrain mature women returning to workforce after a long absence; assist women in continuing their studies; assist isolated, immigrant, aboriginal women and women with disabilities to help overcome education barriers.  The applicant will receive final approval from Thompson Career College.

Vancouver Film School


$100,000 in awards per year
Description: Four full-time scholarships will be available, one in each of the following programs: New Media (48 weeks), Foundation (48 weeks), Broadcast Media Production (48 weeks), and Make-up for Film and Television (24 weeks). These Minerva Foundation Awards will be made available on the basis of academic proficiency and demonstrated financial need, as well as the criteria outlined at the top of this page. The applicant will receive final approval from the Vancouver Film School
