The Minerva Foundation for BC Women extends sincere thanks to Dr. Kim van der Woerd and Dr. Ron Roesch, who have established an award for Aboriginal women at SFU this year.
Their generous gift of $5,000 will be matched by SFU to offer a $10,000 award to an undergraduate student, with a preference given to a woman from the Kwakiutl Nation.
For more information on the Minerva Foundation Award for Aboriginal Undergraduate Female Students please contact Financial Aid & Awards, Simon Fraser University.

Help Minerva change the face of leadership in BC by honouring an extraordinary women in your life on our Interactive Tribute Tree. Designed with the help of Capilano University Interactive Design students, the new Tribute Tree features the cutting-edge technology of parallax web design.
A $500 donation to Minerva will place her name on a Leaf of the Tribute Tree, a $1000 donation places her name on a Tree Branch and a donation of $5000 or more places her name on the Tree Trunk. Please also provide a brief story of why you are paying tribute to this special woman in your life. Your donation will support women who are currently in a Minerva program. Donations can be made online or in person at the Minerva offices.
Donations can be processed in one transaction, or you can make a monthly pledge to Minerva to receive the level of your choice on the tree (i.e. $42.00 a month for one year to receive a leaf, $84.00 a month to get a branch, etc).

Congratulations to Minerva Board director, Bev Briscoe, selected as a 2012 Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
“Fellows” are nominated by their corporate board peers and selected by an independent committee on the basis of their leadership and overall contribution to board effectiveness. Bev’s outstanding years of service on corporate boards including Goldcorp and Ritchie Bros, along with her invaluable contribution to a wide variety of Not For Profit boards, make it a privilege for all of us at Minerva to similarly applaud this well deserved recognition.
