Thank you to everyone who showed their support today by attending our 6^th annual Women In™ luncheon, Women In™ Transportation. Thanks to your generosity we raised $80,000! This money will help more women like our amazing protégée speakers, Binaifer and Ashley. Our congratulations again to all of our nominees and to Anna Dean, Marcella Szel and Jennifer Hawes for their deserved recognition. Join us in reviving our hugely popular and fun annual event for all MHWW protégées, mentors, coaches and sponsors.

We will have door prizes, recognition of recent protégées, and MHWW success stories.

This will be a reception style event – with lots of seating options – appetizers and hors d’oeuvres will be served all evening with a cash bar, allowing lots of opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make some new ones.

Arrive anytime between 5:00 – 9:00 pm as activities will continue all evening. Car pooling is encouraged.

Minerva’s 2nd Annual Alumnae Awards was an incredible success!

Thanks for Helping Us Raise $81,000!

Thank you to everyone who attended the December 01^st Women In Natural Resources Luncheon, which was presented by Teck Resources and hosted by the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Vancouver. A sold out room of 460 people saw Eira Thomas, ‘Lyn Anglin and Barbara Caelles accept their awards, and heard inspiring messages from two past Minerva protégées, Yiely Ho and Chastity Davis. Thank you to everyone who donated at the lunch and helped to make this the most successful Women In Luncheon to date! Your generosity will ensure that we can continue to help young women like Yiely and Chastity in 2011.

I first started volunteering in 2004 because I was intrigued by the Minerva Foundation’s mission to inspire and empower girls and women to reach their full potential in life. What I discovered was that when women connect with each other for a purpose, they have the power to make things happen and to change lives. Through my continued involvement, not only have I been able to make a positive difference for other women, my own life has been immeasurably enriched by the women and girls I’ve met through the Foundation.
