Safety

Community Grants

The Community Grants Program provides funds to existing non-profit community organizations to specifically support programs that deal with issues of safety for women and girls. Prevention of violence against women, street safety and development of life skills are of special interest.

Recipients are chosen through close examination of program and annual budgets, program delivery and target audience, and a number of other criteria as determined by the Community Grants Selection Committee – a diverse group of women from regions throughout British Columbia. The Minerva Foundation only funds projects in British Columbia for the benefit of BC women.

Since 2001, more than 50 deserving projects province-wide have received funding of more than $171,000 through the Minerva Foundation.
