Volunteers Required for Victoria Chapter
This year, All About Girlfriends™ (AAG) our annual fundraiser and silent auction will be on October 6th 2010 at the Alix Goolden Hall. We’re very excited about this event and this year there is some great entertainment lined up with Ivan Sayers, a noted Fashion Historian. Through humour and facts, Ivan will review BC’s history of women’s wardrobes through the ages. Volunteer opportunities at this event are:
1. Silent Auction Committee members:
- 15 volunteers required
- Time commitment: 4 – 20 hours depending upon your availability
Join this group of ambitious volunteers and help us solicit and collect excellent silent auction items. Last year we raised almost $15,000 and we’re hoping to match or do better.
2. Event volunteers:
- 15 – 20 volunteers
- Time commitment: 6 – 8 hours including some fun pre-work and then working at the event
With lots of help in all areas including registration, setup, fashion show, designing the layout of the silent auction and general assistance throughout the event, we will make it a memorable night for all to enjoy!
The proceeds of the fundraiser this year will enable us to offer to Victoria women our Leadership Development program Follow a Leader™. This is Minerva’s Workplace Experience Program that pairs emerging leaders with accomplished leaders.
